TECH: 75 LONGLAND STREET

The goal for this 3rd year tech assignment was to redesign a large and ordinary looking office proposal in Newstead. Issues such as NCC compliance, passive solar heating and cooling, embodied energy and equitable access to light were key considerations to address in this project. Floor plans, façade details and structure all had to be entirely remodeled.

The most prominent features of this new design was the CLT grid which replaced concrete over 5 levels, the parametric louvre façade and the slab extension planter boxes.
